As I was saying, before I was so rudely interrupted. This 3D TV is good isn't it. I went along to a demo by Sony today at the Sports Bar in Marylebone station. They were showing the highlights from Sunday's match, Argentina v Mexico. They use the active format for the Bravia range, which means you wear glasses with a little battery in them. It seems much sharper than the passive system used on other sets I've tried. At one point you saw Maradona on the touchline bent over doing a kind of jig when they scored, in the foreground, with the players in the background running around like they'd just won the world cup or something. It was the closest I've felt to a game without being there. And the Tevez goal, well that has to be the best of the tournament so far. Apart from Frank Lampard's of course. The 40-inch Bravia playing all the action was £3,000 worth of TV. And if you already have a PS3 you'll be able to watch 3D blu-ray without needing to invest in a new box. And the Telly will work just as well in HD as well, so I reckon it's well worth the investment. As for Sunday's other match, I agree with my nephew who said he couldn't face the prospect of the nation banging on about the disallowed goal, for the next four years, while conveniently ignoring the four that went in at the our end. He's thrown himself into his work as a distraction. And I intend to follow his example.
